Take the situation of a medical sales professional, selling IV pumps in the Operating Room, for the first time. Nothing quite gets you ready for the sight of the surgeon opening the chest of the patient for open heart surgery for the first time, and still being able to cheerfully answer a question regarding Mic’s per Kilo requirements for the meds flowing into that patient!!! Surreal is the most descriptive word here!
